The exhibition “Utah Beach, Then and Now / Hier et Aujourd’hui” will be extended until the end of 2021.
Initially scheduled until November 30, 2020, the current situation does not allow the museum to propose new exhibitions for the moment. Therefore it was decided to extend the exhibition presenting the evolution of the landscape from a historical point of view for another year.
THE EXHIBITION UTAH BEACH, YESTERDAY AND TODAY, WHAT IS IT?
Photographs taken between Utah Beach and Sainte-Marie-du-Mont at the time of the landings are superimposed on the current views; a way of projecting the visitor into History.
These open books on the past will be unveiled through a chronological tour, and will allow visitors to understand History in an immersive way, from Utah Beach to Sainte-Marie-du-Mont.

Commented walk “Utah Beach – between history and landscape” (only in french)
On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, follow in the footsteps of the liberators for a 12 km walk with commentary. Between history and discovery of the landscapes, between sea, marshes and bocage, walk through the History of the Landing, from the German defenses to the American strategies to conquer these places. Walk in the footsteps of the American soldiers of the 4th Infantry Division, and discover the actions of the paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division.
Rendezvous at 1:30 pm for a departure at 2 pm at the Utah Beach Landing Museum. By reservation at 02.33.71.53.35, 20 people maximum. The outing may be cancelled depending on weather conditions.
Bring a snack and walking shoes.
Price: 6€50 per person.
Visit of the Museum at a reduced rate
During the European Heritage Days, the free visit of the museum is at a reduced rate of 6€50 per adult and 4€ per child. Take the opportunity to rediscover the museum and its collections, including an authentic B26 bomber, of which only three examples remain in the world!
Opening: 9:30 am to 7 pm, last admissions at 6 pm.
Due to the pandemic the Museum is currently closed. However, the shop remains open and outdoors tours are still going on with a prior reservation.
